This is the very best rest area in America (and I've driven thousands of miles from coast to coast). I have stopped here about 10 times on various trips over the years, and every time, they have had fresh cut flowers in the bathrooms as well as very friendly and helpful staff, wonderful arts and crafts on display for purchase, and snacks and food items. I will actively time my rest stops in order to contrive to stop here rather than anywhere else. You won't be disappointed! You'll be charmed, delighted, and refreshed.
This was the best rest stop experience I have ever had and with 3 kids 5 years old and younger that says a lot. We stopped here thinking it would give the kids someplace to run around after a bathroom break and there was so much more. A little cafe with some of the best ice cream, clean restrooms, lots of handmade crafts from all over Kentucky. The staff was the best part. They provided me a private area to nurse and I didn't even have to ask. They also let the kids have some fresh fruit for a snack at no cost. They were all so helpful and kind. We don't drive this way often but we will stop here again when we get a chance to.
if you enjoy supporting the arts and young artists, stop here! A very eclectic group of young artists trying to make a go of it who share the marketing and staffing of the shop. I highly recommend this as a place not only to enjoy art, but to hear and appreciate the stories of the artists who create the art.
The Kentucky Artisan Center is a great rest stop to stretch your legs, look around and enjoy the view. although it's a little difficult to find because it's not directly off the highway once you get there you'll be pleasantly surprised by all the local artwork that's available to view and purchase. inside you'll find a place to eat relax have a great cup of coffee and clean restrooms
We always love making a stop here when driving south. Beautiful local artisan crafts! Also an information center for the region. Highly recommend a stop here if you're driving on I-75!
